What Can You Do?

There are numerous ways to make a difference in your world. And some are as simple as choosing to buy coffee that has the Fairtrade symbol on it, which signifies that there was no slavery or exploitation in the making of that product. But educating yourself and spreading the word about this issue is the key to empowerment.

1. Become Aware
You can gain so much knowledge by just scanning through this website, and in the end, that knowledge could save your life.
2. Tell Someone
The most effective way to prevent this from happening is by simply talking to someone about human trafficking. People do not know the facts on how to protect themselves, which makes them extremely vulnerable to falling into a trap.
3. Get active!
There are many organizations and coalitions around the globe that would love some support. Also there are different petitions and grass root campaigns that you can become apart of.
4. Let your voice be heard!
Write a letter to the governor of your state, or even the president. Changes NEED to be made, and you can make a difference!

News
Ben & Jerry
Ben and Jerry's will fully go Fairtrade across Europe by the end of 2011, and globally by 2013.

Company co-founder Jerry Greenfield said, ?Fairtrade is about making sure people get their fair share of the pie. The whole concept of Fairtrade goes to the heart of our values and sense of right and wrong. Nobody wants to buy something that was made by exploiting somebody else.?
